wacaris.com is run by Expectation of the Dawn, LLC, a North Carolina company. By creating an account or using wacaris.com, you agree to this page. Questions go to wacaris@wacaris.com.

Privacy

What we collect. When you accept an invitation, you give us your name, your email address, and a short statement of how you know the person who invited you. During gatherings, we also store the voice notes you post. That's it.

Cookies. We use cookies only to keep you signed in while you use the app. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Payments. Payments are handled by Stripe (https://stripe.com/privacy). We never see or store your full card number. Stripe's privacy policy covers the payment details you give them.

How we use it. We use your information to run your account and the app, and to email you about your account. We don't sell, rent, or give it away. We share it only with Stripe to process payments, or when the law requires us to. Voice notes are stored on our Amazon Web Services account.

How long we keep it. We keep your information as long as you have an account. If you delete your account, we delete your information from our systems, including backups, within 30 days. Voice notes are deleted sooner, the day after their gathering ends. Stripe keeps its own records of past payments, as financial regulations require.

Children. wacaris.com is not for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Terms of Use

Credits and refunds. You buy credits through Stripe and spend them to send invitations. Credits don't expire, have no cash value, and can't be transferred to another account. All credit purchases are final and non-refundable. If an invitation fails, we'll return the credit to your account's credit balance, but we won't refund the money paid for it. If you delete your account, any unused credits are forfeited.

Your voice notes. You own the voice notes you post. You give us permission to store them and play them for the other people in that gathering until we delete them. Only post what you have the right to share, and keep in mind that other participants could record what they hear.

Rules. Don't use wacaris.com to break the law or to harm other people. We can suspend or close accounts that do.

No guarantees. wacaris.com is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes. We may update this page. We'll email you about significant changes, and using the app after a change means you accept it.

Governing law. North Carolina law governs these terms. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts of Orange County, North Carolina.
